We do not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from children under 13 or knowingly allow such persons to use the Services. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child under 13 may have provided us personal information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Collection and Use of Information. We collect the information described below regarding you and other users in connection with the Service.
We ask for information such as your name and e-mail address if you correspond with us. If you purchase products or services, then we or our third party payment processor will also ask for additional information, such as your credit card number and billing address. We may also retain any messages you send through the Service. We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service. We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us. For example, through the registration process or through your account settings, we may collect information such as your name, title, email address and phone number. Through your use of the Service, we may also collect field and paddock sizes, locations, and names, and other information associated with fields and paddocks (from photos tagged to each field or paddock to grass ratings). Certain information may be required to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features.
We may receive information about you from third parties. For example, if you access our Site, Apps or Service through a third-party connection or log-in, for example, through Facebook Connect, by “following,” “liking,” adding the App, etc., that third party may pass certain information about you (such as your email address and name) or your use of its service (such as your follow activity) to PastureMap. This information could include, but is not limited to any information that you have permitted the third party to share with us, and any information you have made public in connection with that service. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to the Site or Service. You may also unlink your third party account from the Service by adjusting your settings on the third party service.
We use the information described above to operate, maintain, improve, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service. We may also use this information to communicate directly with you. We may send you emails containing newsletters, promotions and special offers. If you do not want to receive such email messages, you will be given the option to opt out via email or by emailing us at email@example.com. We also use your information to send you Service-related emails (e.g., changes/updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices). You may not opt out of such Service-related e-mails. We may automatically collect the types of usage information described below when you visit the Service.
Collection of Data Using Cookies and Other Technology: We may automatically collect the types of usage information described below when you visit the Service.
Analytics Information. We may directly collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service, including any mobile application. These tools collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including the web pages you visit, your browser add-ons, your browser’s width and height, and other information that assists us in improving the Service. Similar tools collect similar information sent by your mobile device. We may collect and use this analytics information in aggregate form such that it cannot reasonably be manipulated to identify any particular individual user.
Cookies Information. When you visit the Service, we and our third party partners may send one or more cookies — a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters — to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser and lets PastureMap help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the Site and Service. A cookie may also convey information to us about how you use the Service (e.g., the pages you view, the links you click and other actions you take on the Service) and allow us or our business partners to track your usage of the Service over time. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. You can find out more information about how to change your browser cookie settings at www.allaboutcookies.org. Note that some features of the Service may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.
Log file information. Log file information is automatically reported by your browser each time you access a web page. When you use our Service, our servers automatically record certain log file information. These server logs may include anonymous information such as your web request, Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks and how you interact with links on the Service, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.
We use or may use the data collected through analytics tools, cookies and log files to: (a) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the site; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information; (c) to provide, improve and monitor the effectiveness of our Service or other businesses of PastureMap; (d) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns; (e) diagnose or fix technology problems; and (f) help you efficiently access your information after you sign in.
We may aggregate or anonymize information collected through the Service so that the information does not identify you. We may use or disclose aggregated, anonymized and other non-personally identifiable information for any purpose, including for research and marketing purposes, and our use and disclosure of such information is not subject to restriction.
Disclosure of Information. We may share your information with third parties as described in this section.
We may anonymize your information so that you are not individually identified, and provide that information to our partners. We may also provide aggregate usage information to our partners, who may use such information to understand how often and in what ways people use our Service, so that they, too, can provide you with an optimal online experience. However, we never disclose aggregate information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally, as an individual.
Important Exceptions: We may disclose your information to third parties without your consent if we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other Site members, other users of the Services, or anyone else (including the rights or property of anyone else) that could be harmed by such activities. We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is required by and in accordance with the law.
We may buy or sell, divest or transfer the company (including any shares in the company), or any combination of its products, services, assets and/or businesses. Your information such as name and email address, and other user information related to the Service (as described herein) will likely be among the items transferred in these types of transactions. We may also sell, transfer or assign such information in the course of corporate divestitures, reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies, dissolutions, liquidations or similar transactions or proceedings involving all or a portion of the company.
The security of your information is important to us. We use commercially reasonable efforts to store and maintain your information in a secure environment. Notwithstanding the foregoing, PastureMap cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to PastureMap or guarantee that information on the Service may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. You acknowledge the foregoing, and that you are also responsible for helping to protect the security of your information. For instance, you should never give out your account information for the Service to third parties.
Information Choices. You may update your information and email-communication preferences at any time by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also stop receiving promotional email communications from us by clicking on the “unsubscribe link” provided in such communications. As noted above, you may not opt out of Service-related communications (e.g., changes/updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices). If you have any questions about reviewing or modifying your information, you can contact us directly at email@example.com.
Under California Civil Code Sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents are entitled to ask us for a notice identifying the categories of information which we share with our affiliates or third parties for marketing purposes, and providing contact information for such affiliates or third parties.
